Showrunner Jac Schaeffer on Agatha All Along's Cast: Bringing the "WandaVision" Twist to Life

Showrunner Jac Schaeffer, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, recently shed light on the casting process and how Hahn brought Agatha to life, explaining that the actress was always their top choice:
"Kathryn was the first person we thought of for Agatha. She is someone who can do anything, and she’s always finding new ways to surprise. It’s like she has a special gift. The way she was able to play Agnes as so charming and normal, and then with the flip of a switch, become this terrifying, powerful witch, it was just incredible."
Schaeffer also highlighted how Hahn's comedic timing, known for her roles in Parks and Recreation and Transparent, was crucial in crafting the complex character of Agatha:
"Kathryn has this incredible knack for finding the humor in even the darkest of situations. She’s able to make you laugh and then immediately make you feel scared. That was exactly what we needed for Agatha. We needed someone who could make you believe that she was a harmless neighbor and then, in a heartbeat, make you realize she’s something much more sinister."
