NFL Recap: Falcons Fall to Eagles in Week 1

Falcons Struggles on Offense

Desmond Ridder, entering his second season as starting quarterback, faced immense pressure from the Eagles' defensive line. Despite the lack of offensive firepower, the Falcons had some bright spots. Drake London showed flashes of brilliance, catching five passes for 45 yards and proving to be a reliable target for Ridder. A Defensive Battle
While the Eagles' offense dominated, the Falcons' defense played a valiant game. Grady Jarrett, a stalwart on the defensive line, played a strong game, recording a sack and a tackle for loss. The defense held the Eagles' offense scoreless for a stretch in the second quarter and managed to force three turnovers.
However, the Eagles' offensive firepower proved too much to overcome. The Falcons' defense struggled to contain Hurts' mobility and struggled to create consistent pressure on him.
