Backyard Survivor: The Start of My Live Event Love
The scent of campfire smoke, the thrill of competition, and the camaraderie of a group of strangers – these are just a few of the things that instantly transport me back to the summer of 2016, the summer I fell in love with live events. It all started with a simple backyard event, a friendly competition called "Backyard Survivor."
From Couch Potato to Challenge-Hungry
I've always been a bit of a homebody, content to spend my days curled up on the couch with a good book. But that summer, my friends convinced me to join them for a weekend-long Survivor-themed challenge in their backyard. I was hesitant at first, unsure if I could handle the physical challenges and the social dynamics of living in close quarters with a group of people I barely knew.
But after just a few hours, I was completely hooked. The challenges were surprisingly engaging, ranging from physical feats like building a shelter to mental puzzles that tested our wit. The social dynamics were complex and fascinating, forcing us to build alliances and navigate the inevitable conflicts that arose.
